Matt Pond might be a bit of a misanthrope. Halloween details a party on the titular holiday, where our narrator is so disgusted by the vapid partygoers around him ("Heard it's modern to be stupid / You don't need a thought to look good") that has visions of breaking windows and setting a fire. Let's be glad he worked out his impulses in a pretty song.
